MurkrowFlamigo United Wings Basic Aggro Single Prize

The better version of Mad Party, itself the better version of Night March, a deck that terrorized the Standard format and had a great Expanded run as well, United Wings still doesn't live up to its predecessors' legacy. On paper, it has some great advantages: MurkrowMurkrow attacks for a Basic Energy, making the deck less reliant on Double Colorless EnergyDouble Colorless Energy and less weak to Special Energy hate; FlamigoFlamigo has an Ability that searches out other Flamigo, making the deck that much more consistent at getting the birds out of the deck; and the deck can attack with Dark- and Lightning- type Pokémon, hitting several relevant Pokémon for Weakness (mostly Dark-weak Pokémon, to be honest).

Despite these notable improvements, it remains a middling archetype, due to how much the power level of other decks has increased since the days of Night March or Mad Party. KyuremKyurem's Trifrost ruins the little birds' lives, unless you make a board with two-Prizers, in which case other attacks will also destroy you. The popularity of KarenKaren combined with Item lock in Control decks, or even disruptive decks like Absol Mega Mega Absol, also hurts United Wings a lot.
