Slowking Stage 1 Toolbox Single Prize

Slowking is a Pokémon that can copy the attacks of any non-Rule Box Pokémon in the game. In a format with such a wide card pool as Expanded, giving it so many options, this kind of Pokémon has incredible potential, as we've seen with cards such as Regidrago VSTAR or, years before, Mewtwo & Mew GX.

The main attackers that tend to be used in Slowking are Kyurem, which can KO multiple small targets at once, and Yveltal, that simply Knocks Out the opponent's Active Pokémon, no questions asked. But Expanded doesn't only give Slowking access to great attackers, it also helps its consistency. Dimension Valley allows Slowking to attack for only one Energy card, it gains the engine of Fog Crystal and Mysterious Treasure, and Oranguru is a great way to put the attacker you want to use on top of your deck.

Recently, Poké Pad has given Slowking an additional consistency boost. So far, it hasn't been enough to put the deck on par with the format's titans, though. Slowking's main issue is being a stage 1 Pokémon which is easily KO'd, so you constantly have to find a new one and evolve it, which may not be easy to do when hit with Marnie, Iono, or any other form of disruption.
