Palafin Tier 3 Stage 1 Ability Lock

Palafin ex is a card that works much better in Expanded than in Standard. Normally, it can only be put into play by the effect of Palafin's Hero to Zero Ability. But what if Palafin ex didn't have its Hero's Spirit Ability? Then it could evolve normally from Finizen, making it an excellent stage 1 Pokémon due to its stats. In Expanded, Wobbuffet's Bide Barricade and Garbodorr's Garbotoxin do exactly that, removing Palafin ex's Ability while it's in the hand. They also double as very disruptive cards for the opponent.

Variants with only Wobbuffet were more popular at the beginning, but they seem to have slowly phased out in favor of Garbodor-focused builds. That being said, there is no absolute consensus on the best way to play the deck, and it's possible that the best Palafin build hasn't been found yet.

This deck is fairly linear and easy to play, so it's not a bad choice for a newcomer to the format.
