Gardevoir Gardevoir Tier 1 Stage 2 Toolbox

With one of the most successful and format-defining Abilities of all time, it's no surprise that Gardevoir exGardevoir ex, even after its rotation from the Standard format, would be back in Expanded. There, it gets to enjoy all of its many partners from its time in Standard, from Refinement KirliaKirlia to the Dragon-slaying Lillie's Clefairy exLillie's Clefairy ex, in addition to some other friends such as GardevoirGardevoir NXD. Together, they make an incredible toolbox that can beat any deck, provided it survives the early game. Some players believe that Gardevoir would be the strongest deck in the format if KyuremKyurem didn't exist.

There is no clear consensus on the ideal Gardevoir list yet, but Mega Gardevoir exMega Gardevoir ex is almost always included as an attacker. Its massive 360 HP make it impossible for Regidrago VSTARRegidrago VSTAR to OHKO without using Timeless GX for that purpose. If Gardevoir can survive the early game (and it runs several cards for this purpose, such as ChimechoChimecho whose Bell of Silence makes it harder to get Regidrago VSTAR into play, and Mr. MimeMr. Mime to prevent Trifrost), Mega Gardevoir ex will become a real issue for most opponents to deal with.
